It’s hard to keep up with Ikea’s new offerings this time of year. A few weeks ago, we introduced you to its just-launched Hjärtelig collection. Since then, the hard-working Swedish design juggernaut has rolled out even more products, all with an eye toward sustainability. Here are five earth-friendly, storage-oriented favorites that are new to Ikea this month.

Kungsfors Wall System
Above: The new Kungsfors line is the fulcrum of all our passions here at TOH—classic utilitarianism, solid construction, wall storage, and modular components. Designed in collaboration with Swedish vegan chef Maximillian Lundin, the collection is inspired by the industrial storage seen in many commercial kitchens. Above: The Kungsfors Suspension Rail with Shelf Wall Grid in stainless steel and ash is $386.74. Above: This Kungsfors Suspension Rail with Shelf Wall Grid is $68.95. Other accessories—S-hooks, clips, containers, knife racks, and more—range in price from $1.99 to $19.99.
Industriell Shelf Unit
Above: The Industriell collection is the work of Piet Hein Eek, the Dutch designer known for his green ethos; he often uses salvaged wood in his creations. At The Organized Home, we are particularly intrigued by his Industriell Shelf Unit, which is created with very little waste. According to Eek: “Only the wood removed by saw cuts and by creating holes is taken away or burned.” Above: The Industriell Shelf Unit is $99.
Fridafors Tray Table
Above: Made of powder-coated steel and solid rubber wood, the Fridafors Tray Table has a removable tray with handles; the base folds up and can be stored flat. Above: Michelle first wrote about this tray table a couple weeks ago (see New from Ikea: The Indoor-Outdoor Life, for Under $100). Back then, it wasn’t available in US stores, but it will finally be stateside this month. The Fridafors Tray Table is $49.99.
Snidad Basket
Above: We like the airiness and generous proportions of the Snidad Basket, which is made of clear lacquered rattan. Above: The Snidad Basket is $24.99.
Björksnäs Collection
Above: Soft corners, light birch wood, and leather pulls are the hallmarks of the Björksnäs line. We’re excited that there are now new additions to it—a bed (in stores in June), nightstand, and dresser. Above: The 5-Drawer Chest is made of solid Scandinavian birch; $249. Do you love Ikea? We do, too:
