Steal This Look: A Dream Dressing Room in Shades of Gray

Wood paneled dressing room with built-ins by Kvanum of Sweden.

A perfect combination: a dressing room with built-in closets, a place to perch, and a mine-and-yours sink (plus an adjacent bath). This paneled, shades-of-gray design is the work of Kvänum of West Gotland, Sweden, specialists in traditional millwork and an official supplier to the Swedish Royal Court. It’s in one of their showrooms—so it’s a conceptual closet, but a lovely one. Take a look.

The leather-and-wood hanging bar is a classic Kvänum detail: the company, which dates to 1923, specializes in custom kitchens and closets created from elements in its repertoire: this is the Modern Classic Dressing Room in Ekeby Forest Green, an in-house color.
