A perfect combination: a dressing room with built-in closets, a place to perch, and a mine-and-yours sink (plus an adjacent bath). This paneled, shades-of-gray design is the work of Kvänum of West Gotland, Sweden, specialists in traditional millwork and an official supplier to the Swedish Royal Court. It’s in one of their showrooms—so it’s a conceptual closet, but a lovely one. Take a look.
Above: A leather-cushioned bench overlooks a bank of built-in storage for two. The leather-and-wood hanging bar is a classic Kvänum detail: the company, which dates to 1923, specializes in custom kitchens and closets created from elements in its repertoire: this is the Modern Classic Dressing Room in Ekeby Forest Green, an in-house color. Above: Italian sinks with Dornbracht Tara faucets are set in a Kvänum vanity with slatted storage. The subway-tiled backsplash meets beadboard paneling in a warm gray from Norwegian paint company Jotun (NCS code 6502-Y). Contemplating your own beadboarding?
