Everyone Wants This ‘It’ Dish Rack (It Even Had a Wait List!)

Yamazaki Home Wood Handled dish Rack at Food52

There’ve been times I’ve considered putting myself on a wait list for something I really wanted that was out of stock. I’ve never done it, though. Not for the cashmere sweater that was immune to pilling. Not for the perfect pair of jeans (I already had a pair) that hit my ankle at just the right spot. Not for the sneakers that I had been mulling for months only to find out I had waited too long and they were no longer available in my size. I just always figured, there will be something else that’s, if not better, then just as good.

Well, 1,500 people did not think there would ever be a dish rack that’s better than or just as good as this one by Yamazaki. According to Food52, one of our favorite resources for stylish and considered home goods, shoppers fell hard for the Wood-Handled Dish Rack in gray, a color exclusive to the web store. (It’s also available in white.) “We recently launched [it in] gray for the holidays and were blown away by the demand. After selling out in just a few months, we quickly built a up 1,500-strong wait list for the gray alone. Our community loves gray just as much as we do!” says Casey Simring, associate buyer at Food52.
