For those with wood-burning fireplaces and stoves, this is the time of year when having a few firewood logs indoors is useful. Here is a new crop of firewood storage bins and baskets we like. (They can also be used for keeping old newspapers or for other indoor storage use.)

Emma Fireplace Basket Paris Grey — Above: One of the more luxe options on our list is from Eldvarm. The Emma Fireplace Basket, shown in Paris Grey, is made in power-coated steel and Swedish tanned leather. The basket is designed with straight sides for stacking logs vertically. The basket is $785 and is also available in black at Design Within Reach. There’s a design available in black with brass hardware, too, at Artilleriet.

Ashi Firewood Basket Black Handle — Above: The Blomus Ashi Firewood Basket with a black handle is $279.99 at Burke Decor.

Crate & Barrel Telum Black Log Holder — Above: The Telum Black Log Holder, made of black iron, is $199 at Crate & Barrel.

Artek Kanto Firewood Rack — Above: The Artek Kanto Firewood Rack was designed by Artek in 2004 in solid birch. It’s available in a natural or black finish; $184.03 at Connox.

Thom Fougere Mjölk Firewood Hutch — Above: The Black Firewood Hutch, designed by Thom Fougere for Mjölk, is made of a thin oiled brass frame; $1,200 CAD ($880 US) at Mjölk.

Design Within Reach Nelson Fireplace Caddy — Above: Designed by George Nelson in the 1950s (while he held the position as director at Herman Miller from 1945 to 1972), the Nelson Fireplace Caddy is $345 at Design Within Reach. A steel base, walnut dowel rods, and removable black canvas sling makes the caddy as well designed as any living room chair.

Annemarie O'Sullivan Large Log Basket — Above: Truly as much a piece of art as it is utilitarian, the Large Log Basket by Irish basketmaker Annemarie O’Sullivan is an oversized woven willow basket complete with sturdy leather handles; $2,200 at March.

Ferm Living Port Wood Basket Brass — Above: The Ferm Living Port Wood Basket is designed almost like a tray, with rounded edges and a handle finished in leather. Available in black or brass, as shown, the holder is $219 at Ferm Living.

Toast Large Holga Storage Basket — Above: Handwoven in Bangladesh from local sea grass known as holga, the Medium Holga Storage Basket is sturdy enough for a few additional logs near the fireplace; $60 at Toast in the UK.

Morsø Adrian Firewood Basket — Above: Created by the freestanding fireplace brand Morsø, the Adrian Firewood Basket is £149.
