High/Low: The Sculptural Brass Hook

Carl Aubock Hook Two Sizes

Back in 2014, Julie wrote about Viennese designer Carl Aubock’s brass hooks, calling them The Ultimate Bathrobe Hook, Modern Dad Edition—a perfect description of these swanky yet utilitarian pieces. I recently asked her if she had these pricey hooks, which were designed in 1950 and retail for upwards of $300 each, in her own home. “I wish,” she replied. “I aspire to them.”

In the meantime, she may want to check out Sir/Madam’s latest offering: the Stile Liberty Single Hook. Like Aubock’s hook, this one is solid brass—but much more affordable. (Thank you, Margot, for the find!)

High

The Carl Aubock Brass Hook in Polished Brass comes in two sizes; $320 for the large size (shown) and $290 for the small at The Line. The large measures 5.7 inches long and the small is 4.33 inches.
