Cape Cod Summer Bedrooms Refreshed with Farrow & Ball Paint

In February, we teamed up with Farrow & Ball to announce their Nine New Color additions to their 132-color collection, and over the last month Remodelista editors have been putting the colors to work in our own homes.

First, Danny brightened his office with Vardo, then Alexa painted a couple of furniture pieces using Worsted and Salon Drab. Next, Justine used Inchyra Blue on the butler’s pantry in her historic home. And last week on Gardenista, Julie used Yeabridge Green on the front door to the guest cottage on her Wellfleet, MA, summer property. Today, she tackles the interior of the main house.

“The three-story mansard-roof house was built in 1860, and it’s only had a handful of owners (it’s been in my family since the 1930s),” Julie says. “The upside? It retains its original charm and character. The downside? It’s in constant need of care and updating.”

“Our latest project was to paint the neglected third-floor bedrooms in new and summery shades of Farrow & Ball paint: Peignoir, a dusty shade of pale pink, for my daughter’s room, and Cromarty, a watery pale blue green, for my son’s room.”
